I existentially sneeze.

Fighting Style: Capoiera

Capoeira is a Brazilian art born in "senzalas" (slave houses) to help slaves to defend themselves while bound or chained. The martial movements are hidden in a dance that involves acrobatic flipping and jumping, which traditionally concealed the capoeirita’s training and practice and also served to distract the opponent. In a traditional Capoeira performance, the fighters’ hands and sometimes also their feet are bound by a length of rope to hinder their movements. Though this has gone out of style, and the practitioners who remember the ways are growing old, visitors to the cities of Brazil can still sometimes see people practicing the "old style."

Capoeira is a martial art that demands control of the fight. Strength and reflexes make all the difference. A Capoeira fight is usually preceded by an ‘intimidation’ performance, wherein the dancer tries to impress her opponent with her skill. In reality, this is a warm-up routine and a way to establish the rhythm for the fight. It is also the best time to jump the capoeirista if the opponent isn’t interested in fighting fair.

Prerequisites: Dexterity 3, Strength 3, Stamina 2, Athletics 2

Drawback: If the fighter does not have a minute or two to warm up before a fight, he cannot use Capoeira for the first three rounds of the combat.

* The Ginga
The Capoeirista can sacrifice up to his Athletics score in Initiative and add it to his defense for this round.

** Feint
The Capoeirista can sacrifice his defense for this round and add it to his attack pool for this round.

*** Whiplash Kick
Make one kick attack. If more successes are scored than the target's Stamina score, the target is stunned for their next action.

**** Acrobatic Combos
Spend a willpower point and forfeit defense. You may make as many kicking attacks as you have dots in athletics or dexterity (whichever is lower).

***** Acrobatic Kicks
Forfeit your defense and make a single kick attack that ignores a number of your target’s defense dots equal to your Athletics or Dexterity (whichever is lower).
